Zoo’s Crowd on Spring Break Saturday Soars to Nearly 13,000 Visitors

Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is boasting another wildly successful spring break. During the seven day stretch from Monday, April 1 to Sunday, April 7, the Zoo welcomed a total of 55,175 guests and set a single-day spring break attendance record of 12,979 visitors on Saturday, April 6.

As Tax Deadline Approaches, Remember Your State Forests

 

As the deadline draws near, the South Carolina Forestry Commission is urging tax filers to remember forests when submitting their state returns.

 

This tax season marks the third year taxpayers anticipating a refund will have an option to contribute all or part of it to sustaining state-owned forestlands.  The General Assembly passed an income tax check off creating the SC State Forests Fund during the 2010 Legislative Session.

The start of a new year means the return of Free Fridays at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.

Beginning tomorrow, January 4, the Zoo will offer complimentary admission to residents of Richland and Lexington counties every Friday during the months of January and February.

Free Fridays are back at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden! Residents of Richland and Lexington counties will receive free admission to the Zoo and Garden every Friday during the months of January and February. Guests will be asked to provide a valid driver’s license or property tax statement as proof of residency.
