Homeless pets in the Midlands will have more to eat this fall, thanks to a group of Columbia businesses.

Furry Friend: Murdock

Furry Friend: Murdock

My name is MURDOCK. I was adopted out as a puppy with my brother SHYLY. We grew up with a wonderful family that loved us both very much. As we grew, we tolerated each other less and less and would have altercations with each other.

Furry Friend: Charlie

Furry Friend: Charlie

Hello! My name is CHARLIE. Whenever I was at the municipal shelter, I must have pulled at some of the employees heart strings because they took me under their wings and took great care of me.

Furry Friend: Chaplin

Furry Friend: Chaplin

My name is Chaplin. I was found running around on I-77 and was picked up by animal control and then taken to the municipal shelter where my owners NEVER claimed me.

Furry Friend: Honey

Furry Friend: Honey

I am as sweet as Honey, so Pawmetto Lifeline named me this.

Owner: Missing dog got away during road trip

A man lost his dog Tuesday while driving through the Midlands.

He said they had stopped at the Sunoco Gas Station off Piney Grove Road when he got away.

The owner received two reports of sighting of his dog, Buddy. The first was at Frankie's Fun Park off Park Ridge Drive and the second was around 201 Executive Center Drive.

Buddy is an American Pit Bull, age two. He is white with black spots on his head and at the base of his tail. He has floppy ears.
