Police: Credit union robbery suspect may have fled in car

IRMO, SC (WIS)- Police are looking for a man who robbed an Irmo credit union Thursday morning.

Investigators say the suspect entered the AllSouth Federal Credit Union on Woodrow Street around 11 a.m. armed with a small black pistol and demanded money.

The clerk complied and gave an unspecified amount of cash to the suspect.

Officials say he fled the scene, ran toward Thames Valley Road, and entered an unknown getaway vehicle.

Police say the suspect is a black male, 5'7" tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, brown pants, and a white bandana over his face.

There
were no injuries involved in the robbery and there were no customers in the
bank at the time of the robbery.
