The Lexington County Sheriff's Department arrested a West Columbia man in connection with vandalizing and attempted larceny of an ATM on Platt Springs Road in West Columbia.

On August 5, officers arrested 18-year-old Zachary Crolley after he attempted to pry open a First Citizens Bank ATM with a crowbar located at 3967 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, the report stated.

Officers were dispatched to the ATM located on Platt Springs Road after receiving calls from concerned citizens who witnessed Crolley attempting to pry open the machine, according to sheriff’s deputies.
