Report: Woman arrested after urinating on herself, slapping EMS worker

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Pineridge woman they say assaulted an EMS worker.

Deputies responded to Piney Grove Road near the Corner Pocket in reference to an intoxicated person walking in the road on Sunday, the report stated.

Upon arrival, deputies located 39-year-old April McElhannon who they say appeared to be grossly intoxicated based on the fact she urinated on herself and had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, deputies say.

The Irmo Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying an armed robbery suspect. 

The report said on Dec. 30, at 11:30 a.m. a man armed with a handgun entered Ci-Ci’s Pizza on St. Andrews Road in Irmo and demanded money from the employees. According to police, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect. 

Police say the man is described as a black male 5’8” and 180 lbs.

Richland County Sheriff is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying suspect(s) wanted for aggravated assault.

Sheriff Leon Lott states that on two occasions, an unknown suspect(s) threw a rock from the overpass onto passing vehicles causing major damage.

Report: Deputies investigating copper theft at church

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of copper from a local church.

The report said on January 7, officers responded to The First Baptist Church of Irmo in reference to a larceny.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the custodian who stated that when he came into work at 6:30 a.m. he found two air conditioners dissembled and its copper missing, the report stated.

Police seek help solving credit union robbery from August

IRMO, SC (WIS) - Police have released a surveillance photo of a robbery at a credit union in Irmo in August.

Investigators are looking for a man who robbed the AllSouth Credit Union on August 16, 2012 at gunpoint.  The robbery occurred at about 2:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-30's, about 5'7" tall and weighing 200 pounds.

Report: Suspect opens back door, robs driver at gunpoint

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery.

The report said officers responded to Crossfield Road in reference to a stolen vehicle on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the 22-year-old victim who stated that he was having a conversation on his cell phone when he went outside and got into the driver seat of his 2007 dark gray Chevy Impala car,  the report stated.

Deputies say when the victim started the car; an unknown black male opened the back passenger door of the vehicle and pointed a handgun at him.
