Where’s the beef? Cases of steaks stolen from Food Lion | Crime
Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of two cases of steaks from a local store.
According to an incident report, on Tuesday officers responded to the Food Lion located on Saint Andrews Road for a larceny.
Upon arrival, deputies met with the store manager who advised them that two cases of ribeye steaks were removed from the walk-in cooler sometime Monday evening or Tuesday morning, the report stated.
Deputies say around 6:30 p.m. on Monday someone activated the door alarm near the produce section, indicating the door had been opened. The report said the door is located down a hallway through the meat department.
According to the report, the two cases of steaks are valued at $1500.
There are no suspects at this time.
