Kennedy battles Archbishop Murphy

John F. Kennedy High School took on fellow catholic school rival Archbishop Murphy High School on KOMO 4 News 4 Football Friday game of the week.

The Lancers and the Wildcats had a shoot out Friday night, with 73 points total being scored in the game.  Even though Kennedy started the game down, they still fought hard all game.

Damian Brooks had a Prep Play of the Week nomination for KOMO Sports with a 78 yard kickoff return for a touchdown breaking several tackles to do it.

The Lancers eventually fell to the Wildcats, 45-28.

The Archbishop Murphy High School Wildcats faced off against the John F. Kennedy High School Lancers in KOMO 4 News 4 Football Friday game of the week.

The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead against the Lancers and never let it go.  For Archbishop Murphy's second touchdown of the game, QB Austin VanderWel completed a pass to his little brother Hans VanderWel.  That score put them up 12-7.

This was the tenth anniversary for the Archbishop Murphy football program and they celebrated that anniversary with a 45-28 win.

Classics out in Magnolia Village

Kym Otte took these photos of some of the classic cars that were out today during the annual Magnolia Auto Show at Magnolia Village on Saturday.

Hundreds of people came out to look at all of the cars that came out. The event was sponsored by the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce.

Homegrown Festival takes over Third Street

You couldn't ask for better weather for this year's Homegrown Festival.

Organizers sent us these photos Friday morning, as things were just getting going.

The festival on Third Street runs until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
