Contemporary Art Announces Call for Artists Deadline | Arts & Culture

The Call for Artists has been released for 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios, a free, weekend-long tour of artists’ studios across Richland and Lexington Counties that will take place on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, 2013.
Registrations for artists will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2012 (with a $25 early bird discount for registrations submitted by Nov. 1, 2012). Open Call for Artists
Artists with dedicated working studios within Richland County or Lexington County may register to participate. Each artist will open their studio to the public and share their working practices. All sales proceeds will go directly to the artist. Arts and crafts of all fine art disciplines are accepted, and the event is not juried. Registration fees are $100 for 701 CCA members and $150 for non-members, who will automatically become members upon registering before the Dec. 1, 2012 deadline. There is an early bird special of $25 off the registration fee for those who register by November 1.
A weekend of art studio visits!
Join thousands of art lovers for a rare opportunity to visit with individual artists in their private, working studios, learn about their cultural backgrounds, their tools and techniques and how their personal stories impact their art.
A Preview Party will be held in the Olympia Room at 701 Whaley on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. as a kickoff for 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios.
